New Hampshire Lakes Region, Lake Home Real Estate Update, What's Happening today in 2017?
In the prior three to four years the lakes region experienced an excessive lakefront home inventory and buyers had their choice of so many homes some never even made a decision waiting for the perfect home to come along.
2017 the market lacks lakefront home inventory to sell. Example, a home was listed last Wednesday on Hermit Lake that has a 10 HP limit and 220 acres. I brought a buyer over on Sunday and was told there were already multiple offers on the table with four showings after our visit. The market is Hot and applies to homes priced $300,000 to $Millions.
Currently, there are 191 lakefront homes listed in the Sunapee Region, Lakes Region, and Ossipee Area. Last year we had almost triple that inventory.
My advise, if you see a lake home that has the criteria you are looking for, sandy beach, sunsets and the home features an adequate number of baths and bedrooms get in your car and drive up to see it. Try to lock in the home prior to a weekends worth of showings and getting into a multiple bid situation.
