Halfmoon Lake is visible off Route 28 on Alton, Barnstead line. Barnstead is an easy commute to Concord, 35 minutes to Wolfeboro or Gunstock Ski Area.  It is a great bass fishing lake and a wonderful lake for wakeboarding, jet skis or just an evening cruise around the lake.  One of my favorite restaurants is Johnsons Dairy Bar, make sure you get some ice cream. My favorite hike is Mount Major.
