I learned to ski race at Cannon Mountain with the Franconia Ski Club. I was fortunate to get a ski racing scholarship to New England College in Henniker. Our team's highlight was going to the Division 1 nationals in Jackson Hole Wyoming my junior year. I was captain of the team my senior year and inducted into the NEC Athletic Hall of Fame 2009. The best time to start looking for a lakefront home also is the end of the ski season. You can easily view the home all winter long but the key is what the shoreline looks like. With the lake frozen over it will be difficult to determine what the bottom looks like. Pictures may look perfect but you may have a gravel bottom that looks sandy.
