Lake Winnipesaukee is the largest lake in the New Hampshire, located in Belknap and Carroll County, aka The Lakes Region. Winnipesaukee is 44,500 acres with a maximum depth of 180 feet. There are 264 named islands, Long Island is the largest bridged island and second largest is 704 acre Bear Island is only accessible by boat. You can leave your car in the garage for the whole summer, you can shop, get groceries, go to the movies all by boat. Hospitals are located in Laconia, Franklin, Plymouth and Wolfeboro.
