Pleasant Lake is a 479-acre lake located in Rockingham County in central New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Deerfield. The eastern shore of the lake forms the boundary between Deerfield and the town of Northwood. Water from Pleasant Lake flows north to Northwood Lake, then west via the Little Suncook River to the Suncook River, a tributary of the Merrimack River.
The lake is classified as a cold- and warmwater fishery, with observed species including brown trout, rainbow trout,smallmouth and largemouth bass, chain pickerel, brown bullhead, and white perch.
Pleasant Lake, New London NH
Pleasant Lake is a 602-acre lake located in Merrimack County in central New Hampshire, United States, in the town of New London. The village of Elkins is located at the east end of the lake, next to its outlet. Water from Pleasant Lake flows east to the Blackwater River, a tributary of the Contoocook River, and ultimately the Merrimack River.
The lake is classified as a cold- and warmwater fishery, with observed species including brook trout, landlocked salmon, smallmouth bass, chain pickerel, and horned pout.
There is an island on the lake (visible in the photo) which on old maps has the name "Granite Friends Island" but is better known today as "Blueberry Island." It is a destination for boaters and a favorite picnic spot.
