Squam Lake is the second largest lake in New Hampshire  with a total area of over 6,700 acres. The 1981 film On Golden Pond  was filmed on Squam Lake and the Squam Lake Science Center is located in Holderness.  I have fond memories of the Squam Lake Science Center.
