Mark Your Calendars for Discover WILD New Hampshire Day: April 20, 2013

 

CONCORD, N.H. - There's no better time than in the midst  of a winter storm to think about spring! Flip your calendar to April and save  the date for a special New Hampshire Earth Day celebration: Discover WILD New  Hampshire Day will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 3  p.m. on the grounds of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive  in Concord, N.H.  Admission is free.

"The whole family will enjoy connecting with life  outdoors at this fun, free event," said event coordinator Mark Beauchesne  of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. "Come Discover WILD New  Hampshire with us!"

The event includes hands-on activities and exhibits from  environmental, conservation and outdoor organizations from throughout New  Hampshire. See live animals, big fish and trained falcons.  Kids can try archery and casting and make  arts and crafts.  Explore new trends in  recycling, environmental protection and check out energy-efficient hybrid  vehicles.

Discover WILD New Hampshire Day is co-sponsored by the  New Hampshire Fish and Game Department and the New Hampshire Department of  Environmental Services. Watch for details at wildnh.com
