Lakes Region Inventory Update: May has finally arrived with some warm weather. Here is New England we actually have a six seasons, officially we have Summer, Winter, Spring, Fall and the unofficial seasons include Mud season that just went by and now we are in black fly season. The season is only 2 weeks in May and as long as the breeze is blowing you are good to go. This past week saw 36 new listings, the majority of the real estate listing again were on Lake Winnipesaukee with 12 mainland homes and 2 island properties. Prices on Winnipesaukee ranged from a $600,000 for a seasonal cottage in Center Harbor to three luxury estates, Wolfeboro, Gilford and in Meredith just under $2,800,000. My favorite of the Winnipesaukee bunch is the home in Wolfeboro, 6 bedrooms on over 1 acre of land and a 200 foot sugar sand beach, plus views. Squam and Sunapee had two new listing each, all were price $899,000 to $1,390,000, this is the low end of the price range for a typically property on those lakes. A often overlooked lake is 900 acre Silver Lake is Madison, a classic lake home was just listed that offers 150 feet of shoreline and views of Mount Chocorua, this is pointed rock top mountain that gives you the feeling of being in the Alps.
Other lakes include, Bow Lake, Winnisquam, Ossipee, Webster, Opechee, Blaisdell Lake in Sutton and a newer home on Ayers Lake in Barrington for $575,000
My pick of the week are at 2 price extremes, the home on Springfield Point in Wolfeboro has 6 bedrooms and a 200 foot sandy beach for just $2,200,000 and a home on 500 acre Franklin Pierce Lake for $399,000 also having 6 bedrooms and 157 feet of sandy shoreline.
Waterfront shared, 17 new listings price between $100,000 and $475,000. Condo's, 9 new listings priced between $99,000 and $340,000. A few of the condo's and shared waterfront have a dock for your boat. Dock - Boat - Beach that's all you need for a summer of enjoyment.
