CONCORD, N.H. - In observance of National Hunting and Fishing Day, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will host a Sporting Expo at Fish and Game headquarters, 11 Hazen Drive, in Concord from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on September 21, 2013. Admission is free. The event is made possible by promotional support from the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire, John Deere, Bonneville & Son Jeep, the US Sportsman's Alliance and 96.5 The Mill.
The Expo is your chance to see the latest hunting and fishing-related products and services, from guns and decoys to scents, calls and fishing gear. Meet hunting and fishing experts and guides and start planning your next outdoor adventure. See live birds of prey. Enjoy live music by Jim Barnes. And check out canoes, kayaks, boats and four-wheelers. This big outdoor event features dozens of exhibits, demos and hands-on activities, including:
* Archery and air rifle ranges * Displays of hunting and fishing gear and accessories * Retriever dog demonstrations * Turkey calling * Taxidermy exhibits * Fly-tying demonstrations * Display of the N.H. state record buck
While you're at the Expo, be sure to buy your tickets for the giant raffle to benefit the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire. Raffle items include a Savage Arms Axis rifle, a trail camera, an upland bird hunt, hand-tied flies and many more prizes!
