The state has  four wonderful seasons and is known as a great  location to retire and as a vacation destination.  NH does not have a sales or income tax and the mountains and lakes almost touch each other.  At the bottom you will find some information taken from nheconomy.com about our states environment  Currently the NH lakes area has over 527 year round lakefront homes available and 161 seasonal homes for those who would prefer spending the winter down south.  The busiest time of year for lake sales has traditionally been October and November but year to date 394 lakefront homes have been sold priced between $150,000 and $7 million for a luxury estate on Squam Lake.
