Drones Helping NH DES Regulate Shoreline Rules
We just attended an educational real estate class given by Shannon Aldrich. One of the interesting topics was the use of drones by the NH Department of Environmental Services.
NH DES in order to help them regulate docks, moorings, shoreline modifications and especially unauthorized tree cutting are using drones to record the shoreline to make year to year comparisons.
Wow, typically shoreline reports were from Google Earth views looking for new docks or moorings on the lakes that had not been permitted properly or sent in from neighbors upset with shoreline activities done in the midnight hours.
With this new program they can view not only what is taking place on the water but view what you are doing on land.
Our advice prior to any shoreline modification is call DES at 603-271-3503 or visit their website to view rules and regulations.
Also if you are interested in looking for a new lake property or selling your current home call we would be glad to help out.
