Ossipee Lake is 3,245 acres and the sixth-largest lake in NH. The average depth is 27 feet with a maximum depth of 73 feet. The water quality is oligotrophic ( the best ). The towns of Ossipee, Freedom surround the lake. The lake is fed by the West Branch River, Bearcamp, Lovell River, Pine River and flows out to the Ossipee River.  Ossipee is known for some of the most majestic mountain views of Mt. Chocorua. This mountain gives you the feeling you are in the Alps.  

Ossipee Lake consists of the main lake, Leavitt Bay, Broad Bay, Danforth Bay and Berry Bay giving you unlimited areas to explore. Most of the bottom and shoreline is sandy. The lake has some excellent trout and salmon fishing, with a golf course minutes from the lake. No boating restrictions.  

Ossipee has some of the best home values for the larger lakes in NH.
