Lake Opechee is 449 acres with an average depth of 23 feet and a maximum depth of 61 feet. The water is crystal clear with a warm/cold water classification. The lake has trout, salmon, and bass. There are no boating restrictions.
This in-town lake makes it a perfect location to live on the lake with a short commute to work. Shopping, tons of restaurants, services are all minutes from the lake. Gunstock Ski Area is a four-season resort with skiing, cross country skiing in the winter and zip lines and mountain coaster in the summer. The area golf course almost touches the lake. Laconia is home to Bike Week in June and Pumpkin Fest in October.
