Lake Winona has a maximum depth of 47 feet and an average depth of 17 feet. The water is crystal clear with a mesotrophic rating. The lake is well known for rainbow trout fishing in the summer and winter ice fishing. Motorboating is allowed but no jet skis. Kayaking is very popular, you can kayak from Winona to Waukewan thru the snake river.
The lake is just a short drive from Exit 23, Ashland or Meredith. Shopping, attractions and restaurant are all minutes away.
Hiking trails are located minutes from the lake and golf and ski areas are just a short ride away.
