Cyanobacteria / Blue Green Algae blooms have been more numerous this year than in the past.
This year the state was able to provide the public timely data because the state is using a drone with a multispectral camera. The camera can see wavelengths beyond what human eyes can perceive to determine the concentration of cyanobacteria in the lake. The other benefit of the drone is they can view in some cases the entire lake rather than just looking at one beach to take a water sample.
Lady of the Lake Realty keeps track of Cyanobacteria updates throughout the summer to keep our clients informed on which lakes have repeated blooms. This is one of the benefits of working with an agency that specializes in waterfront properties when making a purchase in the NH Lakes Region.
If you are going to make a waterfront investment - work with an agency that has knowledge of all the lakes and will use the resources available to help you select the property that is best for you.
