Some pro’s and con’s for owning a slip. 
Trailering your boat to the lake can be costly in gas and time. Trailering does give you the opportunity to go and wait at the boat launch at different lakes every weekend. If you are an occasional boater trailering can be cost effective even with the hassle at the boat launch.
Owning a slip at your favorite lake removes the frustration trailering - launching - taking boat out at the days end. At any time of the day you can jump on your boat go out for a couple of hours fishing or tubing with the family and back to the your slip, tie up the boat and off to your next adventure.
Is buying a boat slip a good investment? Yes, buying a boat slip can be a good investment as it allows you to build equity and potentially increase in value, while also protecting against rising costs and providing the option to rent it out.
Most slips locations typically have a clubhouse with restrooms and showers along with a lounge area where you can meet other members trading stories of areas of the lake you most enjoy. Most also offer a place to store your boat at no additional cost during the winter months.
