Push Button Door Locks, time saver for sure!
Three years ago we wanted some security for our home while we went out exercising. We installed a push button door lock. No need to carry a key, hide a key, lose your keys, fishing for them in your pocket or bag. The brand is not important, I have purchase four different brands and they all work and install in 20 to 30 minutes. You remove the old lock set and install the new in the same location. If the brand matches the old the job becomes easier as you do not have to remove all the parts. Read the instructions and watch a u tube video to speed the process along. The only tools needed are a flat and philips head screwdrivers.
We are using only the simplest features. Push the code to get in or out. Some are self-locking while others engage the gear to turn and lock. You can put in special codes for service people coming in to work on your home or a wifi version where you can open the lock when a visitor arrives. Pricing for locks I purchased $29 on sale to $129, all worked fine.
Easy to install and convenient. Yes there is a backup key in case the battery goes dead.
