Crystal Lake is 455 acres with an average depth of 16 feet with a maximum depth of 53 feet. The lake is Oligotrophic - best water quality with rainbow trout fishing.
Gilmanton Iron Works is a rural town located just north of Concord NH. You will find year-round homes to cottages and condos around the lake. The water is crystal clear making it very inviting for swimming and water sports. Motorboating is allowed along with jet skis.
Years ago Grace Metalious wrote the scandalous book Peyton Place that caused an uproar in the town as some believed it was based on the residents. ABC ran the show for many years.

Pleasant Lake is 602 acres with oligotrophic water quality. ( best ). With a maximum depth of 90 feet the lake is a wonderful resource for landlocked salmon and trout fishing. There is one island on the lake named Blueberry Island with the town beach located in the village of Elkins. Motor boating is allowed but jet skis are banned.
New London is a college town located minutes off interstate 89 along with the lakes location. In town you will find restaurants, trendy shops, art galleries and a major grocery store. Thirty minutes from town your on the slopes of Mount Sunapee or Ragged Mountain. Ten minutes from the lake is Sunapee Country Club. In town you will also find the New London Hospital.

Lake Wentworth is located in the town of Wolfeboro. At 3,097 acres it is the seventh-largest lake with an average depth of 25 feet and a maximum depth of 80 feet. The lake is Oligotrophic ( best water quality ). Lake Wentworth flows through the Smith River into Crescent Lake where you will find a boat launch and docks. Public access to the lake is Wentworth State Park. The lake has 9 islands with seasonal public access to Stamp Act Island. The lake has rainbow trout, largemouth bass and white perch.
Wolfeboro is the Oldest Summer Resort in the United States. The downtown is located on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. You will find art galleries, shops, restaurants and museums in the trendy downtown area. Wentworth is similar to Squam, you are likely to find more camps and cottages instead of new McMansions.
